Our Families Inc. and our professional staff and administration believe strongly that it is our Goal to create partnerships and connections by Bridging, Rebuilding and Reconstructing our families, children, youth, parents, foster parents, caregivers and agencies of all communities. We have a Bridge of tools connecting Our Families Inc. and communities that will empower and strengthen relationships through trainings, skill building, modeling, validating, listening to understand, educating, behavior modification, re-establishing relationship building, staff and agency empowerment and retention, caregiver empowerment, role plays, foster parent empowerment, parent/child empowerment and understanding the need for attachment.
Our Families Inc. has a wealth of experience and recourses that should be in every Home and Agency to embark on the opportunity for families, management and staff to Thrive together, Grow together and Heal together. Our approach emphasizes that we are bridging knowledge on how to understand each other and support each other Emotionally, Developmentally, Socially, Physically and Intellectually.
Our Families Inc. describes this as, always having Each Other’s Back and being there together in those moments unconditionally. The compass we use to Bridge, Rebuild and Reconstruct here at Our Families Inc. comes from a place of servicing with Respect, Cultural Competency and Awareness, Knowledge, Non – Gender Bias, Accountability and Transparency, to ensure No Family or No One is to feel left Alone, Unseen or Unheard

Meet Pierce
Pierce Johnson Jr. is a passionate and dedicated Certified Trainer ( ToT) Trainer of Trainees, Coach/Supervisor and Consultant in the Child Welfare field in the New York City area with over 20 years of experiences as well as in his new role of training in the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (DDD) field in the New Jersey area during this time establishing meaningful connections and creating nurturing environments promoting growth and development through Adoptions, Case Management, Training Staff, Training Administrators, Training Parents, Training Families and Training Caregivers, he is recognized as a Champion in this field.
Pierce was featured in the NEW YORKER magazine in December 2013 for his Best Practices,Commitment and Dedication to case management and family reunification for a pilot model FAMILY FINDING in New York City which he was awarded the MASLOW AWARD in April 2014. On May 2, 2025 Pierce was featured in the CWLA Press Children’s Voice magazine for coaching and training a team from Atlanta, Father’s Inc. under Lawrence Wilborn and his team which were one of the first to facilitate and train groups of all Father’s in the Atlanta community at one of the local barbershops Royal Roots using one of the Best evidence-based models in the country both Domestic and Internationally Teen Connect. Pierce also coached and trained the model Connect in many states, most recently Texas and now currently Atlanta with an amazing program FURTHERING FATHERING.
In August 2023 Pierce was Honored with the Award For Excellence In Training from the New York City Administration for Children Services (ACS) for his trainings of staff, foster parents, caregivers, parent’s and families.
Pierce is the CEO of OUR FAMILIES INC. which is currently in a phenomenal collaboration with two of the Best programs GOOD SHEPHERD SERVICES in New York City and GenerationPMTO an Oregon based organization. Good Shepherd Services provides extraordinary limitless services to parents, children/youth and families and GenerationPMTO has one of the best evidence-based 10 week, 90 minutes per week implementation models Parent Through Change (PTC-R). Our Families Inc. and Good Shepherd Services using the model PTC-R are training parents to reach their highest level of parenting potential to attain the goal of reunification with their children. on June 26, 2025 Our Families Inc. and Good Shepherd Services certified four parents/families for completion of PTC-R.
Meet Mildred
Mildred Guillermo is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience as a Certified Trainer, specializing in Child Welfare in the New York City area. With a passion for empowering children, youth, parents, and caregivers, Mildred has served in various capacities, including Early Childhood Teacher, Child Development Specialist, and Consultant. Her dedication to supporting families, particularly Spanish-speaking communities, has been a driving force throughout her career.
Having navigated the complexities of the child welfare system, Mildred excels in providing nurturing guidance through case management, adoption services, and comprehensive training for staff, foster parents, and families. Her proficiency in delivering high-quality language services in Spanish ensures effective communication and understanding among all parties involved, fostering a conducive environment for optimal care.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Mildred was awarded the prestigious Award for Excellence in Training by the New York City Administration for Children Services (ACS) in 2023. Currently, she is actively engaged in the establishment of Our Families Inc., where she serves as the Chief Executive Officer. This community-based initiative aims to continue the vital mission of delivering top-notch services to families and foster parents, bridging language barriers with offerings available in both English and Spanish.
